Woke up at half-past six on 29th December, checking my Facebook newsfeed and saw people started posting about their new year resolutions....mine is an easy one...do everything I can to have the best year of my life. It sounds impossible, right? When I have no specific goals or to do list, I just know that my goal is flexible but every step towards the goal is the one that counts.
What I want next year is to continue living freely, comfortably and worry-free. Yea, another impossible wish but I think I can make it happen. And of course, my arms are open for any challenges!
Enough about thinking of the future that is still far from reality, 2 days is far, yea 48 hours is far enough for me.
The reason why I wrote a blog this morning is because I need to find something to do while waiting for my car at the garage. It's holiday, why are there so many people still? Aren't they going away for some sort of retreat?
...........
Let's see what I have achieved in 2017, there is one thing that I always enjoy talking about with my husband. When I think about it...
What would have happened if I didn't follow my gut and quit my previous full-time job? When I decided to leave that job, everybody went against my decision, my parents definitely disagreed with that decision...At first, I wasn't sure if I'd made the right decision...Now it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made...
When I left the job, I stopped twisting about things I couldn't change at work, yes, that's why I quit the job, I was sick of complaining about things that I couldn't solve. So I walked away and wanted to do something that I am fully in charged of and able to make a change.
I started my own coaching business from an early morning dream I had, I woke up and told my husband,
"I am going to teach Thai people to speak English properly"
That morning, I posted on my Facebook profile to see if anyone wanted to learn to speak English correctly. Lots of friends were interested in my coaching. I started making my coaching schedule that afternoon. I was teaching 10 individuals per day via a video call. I did what I believed was the best for my students as I was once a student who wanted to be able to speak English.
....I wished I could afford a one-on-one speaking session,
....I wished I had someone listen and correct me when I said it wrong,
....I wished I had someone guiding me on how to pronounce each word correctly...
..........I wished I didn't have to spend 20 years figuring it all out by myself.
So I gave all of those wishes to my students....Since the beginning of 2017, I have been coaching full-time, giving out totally free one-on-one coaching sessions for anyone who's interested in learning to speak English.
I learned a lot from teaching for free, some people appreciated what I did, some didn't and ended up wasting their own time, my time, and other's opportunity. There are plenty of those people in our world, I'm not going to waste my breath moaning about them.
I offered free coaching for 6 months, experimenting what works best for each student, yes 6 months without any income, totally relying on my husband. Today, I earn enough to live comfortably and freely, I still coach some students for free with just one quality that they need to have, 'determination'.
The most important thing is that I figured out my profession, my expertise...my passion...and I enjoyed seeing success my students have achieved...I think I have made this year a great beginning for 2018 so far.
